Divisional and Disciplinary Majors and Minors Outlined

Here, you’ll find that there are many paths to success.

The U.S. Air Force Academy consists of 19 departments offering 32 academic majors, all uniquely interesting and challenging.

Though not an Academy requirement, it is recommended that you also pursue an academic minor to enhance your major course of study.

We’ve briefly outlined each major, listing the course sequence required – you can find course descriptions throughout this section. As you study these summaries, keep in mind that you must complete all the requirements to major in a subject area. You may change your major if you can meet the new requirements without excessive overloads and if you fulfill all requirements, you may earn more than one major.
