The distinguished leaders, professionals and officers who make up our faculty are one of the reasons the Air Force Academy stands out as not only a premier military facility, but a world-class institution of higher learning.

Each faculty member must possess a master’s degree. Half have obtained a Ph.D.
Many of our faculty members hail from such outstanding colleges and universities as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Duke and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as from foreign universities such as Kings College-University of London and Oxford University in England.
Faculty members maintain close contact with the cadets – and not just in the classroom. They sponsor extracurricular activities and athletics, frequently adopting squadrons and attending their special events.



	The Academy's focus is on creating well-rounded leaders with a variety of skills and knowledge.
