| How does it feel to trace the footsteps
of some of our nation’s most revered leaders? How long does
it take to walk the campus? What’s the food like?
There are some questions that are best answered by coming to experience
the honor and tradition for yourself.
The Academy is open to visitors between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily, If you DO NOT have active duty or retired military identification, you must show driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. Your vehicle will be searched before you’re allowed entry to the Academy.
During the summer, while most cadets are away from the Academy
on leave or training programs, we offer briefings at the Academy
Visitor's Center.
These briefings, beginning in mid-June, are offered Monday through
Friday, except holidays.
Activities include:
- Academy video
- Admissions briefing
- Question and answer period with an admissions representative
Call ahead to ensure a briefing is scheduled and to determine
the time of your briefing.

The tour begins at 8:45 a.m. at Arnold Hall where students and accompanying family members will meet an Admissions representative who will escort all attendees to a location where a one-hour admissions briefing is given to everyone. At 10:15 a.m., students will be paired up with a cadet to “shadow” until 4:00 p.m. The students will attend classes, visit the dorms, tour the athletic facilities, and have lunch in the cadet dining hall (for which there is a $6.00 fee, exact change is appreciated).
Also at 10:15 a.m., the family members are taken on a separate tour which will last approximately one hour. Upon completion of this tour, family members can take part in an optional Cadet Chapel tour. Family members are then directed to places that are open to the public that they may visit until the students return at 4:00 p.m. Family members will meet the students in the afternoon at Arnold Hall. Dress for the tour is business casual with comfortable walking shoes.
